PERAN GANDA IBU RUMAH TANGGA DALAM MENUNJANG PENDIDIKAN ANAK DI DESA OLORA

Abstract

 This study aims to determine the efforts of mothers who have a dual role in dividing time at home and at work, paying attention to children's education and fulfilling children's learning facilities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The informants in the study were five housewives as well as workers in the supermarket who were selected according to the criteria of having dependents of school-age children. Conducted interviews, observations and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the unfavorable economic condition of the family causes housewives to participate in working in the public sector. By taking on the dual role of being a housewife and working at the same time selling fish, the informants are less able to allocate time for their children at home, such as guiding children to study. In addition, due to limited funds, the informants could not fulfill all learning facilities for children such as private vehicles and study rooms.
